Our Spring 2025 issue will be dedicated to the haibun form. Basho invented haibun in the late 17th century, combining the concision of haiku with more casual prose. More recently, the haibun form has become extremely popular within the English language haiku community, where the leaps between styles of writing are able to create profound moments of insight. This issue will explore creative ways contemporary haibun are being used. The poems may be any length or subject, but need to combine haiku with other forms of writing. We no longer publish essays, but always include a contributor notes section, where we ask in this case why you enjoy working with other poets.

Submit up to four previously uncurated poems (or pages of short poems) at the same time, either in a single file or up to four files. Do not include your name or contact info within the file(s) content.
